Product Details

History and aviation buffs will be absolutely thrilled when they behold this detailed model of the Hindenburg. Built by hand with over 600 glued joints and satin canvas fabric stretched over the frame, this model is stately and impressive.

Nearly as big as the Titanic, the Hindenburg was the ultimate in travel of any kind. Before the growth of commercial airlines, this graceful dirigible flew over 2,600 people across the Atlantic from Germany to Rio and New York. It stretched 776 feet form tip to tail and had a top speed of 80 mph, cutting the time of a trans-Atlantic trip by two-thirds.

In a span of 37 seconds, its glory was reduced to ashes in a fiery crash at Lakehurst Naval Air Station in New Jersey on May 6, 1937.

But this model lets its glory live on. Take in all the details of the engine rotors, bridge compartment, accurate paint details, and more.

Order this immaculate, three and a half-foot long model of the 1937 Zeppelin, and you will constantly be thrilled by its majesty. Ships assembled.
