Although intended and mainly utilized as a primary trainer, the T-28 has seen combat service with American military forces in Vietnam and CIA groups in what was once the Belgian Congo, as well as having been utilized by French forces in Algeria. It has also seen dive-bomber use by various groups during civil unrest in the Philippines.
