One of the most prolific trainer aircraft in the world, the T-6 Texan (also known by the name Harvard) has been utilized since well before World War Two and has more than 15,000 examples built, in different variants. The T-6 has also seen combat use in a number of conflicts throughout the world, being deployed as forward air controllers by American forces in the Korean and Vietnam conflicts, as well as seeing light attack service with other nations in numerous small engagements. The T-6 is also a favored aircraft for private fliers, thanks to the prolific nature of surplus aircraft and parts combined with an excellent reliability and safety record.
This remarkable aircraft is rendered here with painstaking detail in its SNJ variation, as utilized by the U.S. Navy. Its striking yellow finish marks it as a trainer aircraft, and will make it stand out in any collection.
