The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk was America's primary army fighter aircraft at the outbreak of World War II, and was sold or gifted to many other Allied nations. The P-40 first saw combat with the Desert Air Force, composed of British Commonwealnations, in North Africa and the middle east, during June 1941. The Warhawk was also the fighter of choice for the famous Flying Tigers, operating in China before America's entry into the war. The P-40 was quickly outmatched by more modern fighters built by all nations, but the low cost of the aircraft kept it in production for ground attack roles well into the war. A precise reconstruction of this fighting workhorse, this model is the perfect choice for any collector.
