Introduced into service in 1984, the MH-60 Seahawk is the U.S. Navy variant of the UH-60 Blackhawk, and is one of several S-70 family helicopters built by Sikorsky. While very similar to the original UH-60 helicopter, the Seahawk does have a number of Navy specific modifications including a tighter landing gear arrangement and an electric blade folding system to allow for quicker and more efficient movement and storage of the aircraft aboard the tight quarters of naval vessels.

The Seahawk has a number of variants that perform a wide variety of missions, from search and rescue to resupply to anti-submarine warfare. Export variants of the helicopter are in use with a number of other nation's navies, and Mitsubishi has a licensce to produce a version of the helicopter modified for Japanese use.

This maritime workhorse is reproduced here in a handcrafted model with the highest degree of accuracy. Extensive detailing and a high-quality finish should make this model feel at home in any collection.
