The MH-53 Pave Low, is an extensively upgraded model originally based upon the CH-53 Sea Stallion, and is the most recent in a series of upgrades that include the HH-53 Super Jolly Green Giant variants. While the HH-53 helicopters are used primarily for Search and Rescue missions, the Pave Low is designed to operate in support of Special Forces units, resupplying and ferrying soldiers in and out of denied zones in all flight conditions. After a combined 40 years of service, the Pave Low and its predecessor variants were retired from duty in 2008, being replaced by V-22 Osprey models.
This versatile and rugged helicopter is reproduced here in a high quality model that is sure to please any collector.
