The C-5 Galaxy is one of the largest military aircraft ever built, and has capabilities to match its size. The Galaxy can carry nearly every piece of equipment in the U.S. Army's inventory, and has the range to deliver said equipment to any suitable runway on the planet. The C-5 first saw service in the Vietnam conflict, delivering supplies and reinforcements, and it has continued to perform its transport duties admirably across the world.
As of 2008, a modernization project was just beginning, but the aircraft modeled here is the primary version. Painstaking detail and superb craftsmanship make this item a valuable addition to any collection.
