The C-130J Super Hercules is an upgraded variant of the widespread C-130 Hercules. A modernization of the classic airframe, the Super Hercules has new engines and propellers, a new flight deck, and many other advances. These upgrades give the Hercules drastically improved range and speed, and allow it to take off on much shorter runways. While not yet as prolific as its predecessor, many nations are requesting the aircraft, which may allow it to spread equally as far as the model on which the Super Hercules is based.
