Developed in the years following World War II, the B-47 Stratojet was one of the first mass produced jet engine bombers to see widespread use. While the B-47 was never used in its main role, the Stratojet was the primary bomber in the U.S. Strategic Air Command during the 1950s and early 60s. The B-47 also developed into an espionage and reconnaissance aircraft as newer aircraft were introduced, and while bomber variants were retired by 1969, the reconnaissance variants remained in service until 1977. Solid construction and detailed painting mean that this model will be treasured by any owner.
