The Boeing Model 307 was an aircraft of several firsts. It was the first plane to include a flight engineer as standard crew, but more importantly it was the first commercial transport aircraft to have a pressurized cabin. This major advancement allowed the aircraft to fly at altitudes of 20,000 feet, above most weather disturbances, while still providing passengers and crew with breathable and comfortable atmosphere.
While only ten models were built, the Model 307 was a fairly successful aircraft, operating for both Pan American and Trans World Airlines. The Model 307 was also pressed into military transport service during World War II under the C-75 designator.
The Model 307 is reproduced here with exacting attention to detail and quality construction, which both combine with a beautiful silver finish to make this model a stand-out choice for any aviation enthusiast or collector.
